Effective January 1, 2017, Raccoon Refuse will be the contracted garbage/recycling service for the Union City Borough.
Information will be mailed directly from Raccoon Refuse.
Residents east of Main Street garbage collection will be on Monday’s. Garbage/recyclables should be put out on Sunday evening.
Residents on Main Street or west of Main Street, garbage collection will be on Tuesdays. Garbage/recyclables should be put out on Monday evening.
The garbage/recyclable service is unlimited. There will be leaf pickup available in the fall.
Cost is $63.90/quarter.
For those 60 and over there is an Elderly Reduced rate. $57.54/quarter
There is an individual bag service available for those who do not need weekly garbage collection. A sticker is placed on each bag of garbage. The stickers can be purchased at the City Building between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The cost is 5 for $21.25.
